GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Parks and Recreation was honored with a number of awards at the recent Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s District 7 Annual Banquet. The banquet was held at the Gainesville Civic Center.
The Agency was named the District 7 Agency of the Year and recognized for its focus on strategic planning; effectiveness of operations; as well as successful programs and services geared towards the health, wellness and livability of the Gainesville community.
Deputy Director Michael Graham received the Distinguished Professional Award, Recreation Program Manager Zandrea Stephens was honored as Programmer of the Year, and Volunteer Coach David Collins was named Volunteer of the Year.
