North Hall football is eying a stretch run that could get the Trojans back into the state playoffs after a one-year absence.

And if North Hall is to get back to the postseason, you can bet Kyle Bacus will be leading the way.

The junior running back is growing into a standout role for the Trojans and showed as much on Friday, rushing 20 times for 237 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-28 win over Madison County that moved North Hall into sole possession of fourth place in Region 8-AAAA.

For his efforts Bacus has been named the Locos Grill and Pub Friday Game Night Player of the Week.

Bacus currently leads North Hall in rushing, spearheading the Trojans return to the wing-T with 534 yards and eight scores.

His work has helped North Hall to already surpass last season’s win total and back into playoff contention.

Friday Game Night and AccessWDUN sports editor Morgan Lee recently caught up with Bacus to talk about his big night, North Hall’s resurgence and the Trojans stretch run to what they hope will be a playoff return.
