Girls basketball: Chestatee holds off N. Oconee in 8-AAAA

BOGART -- Chestatee used 12-2 run to open the game and then held off North Oconee in the second half to take a 31-25 win in Region 8-AAAA action.<br />

It was the second straight win for the Lady War Eagles (13-10, 3-3 Region 8-AAAA) after a three-game losing streak.<br />
<br />
North Oconee got back into the game with a 10-1 second quarter to pull within 13-12 by halftime. But Chesatatee held the Lady Titans (1-6, 2-3) scoreless in the third quarter to build a 20-12 lead.<br />
<br />
Kayla Watson paced Chestatee with 11 points. Macey Jarrard had nine points for the Lady War Eagles.<br />
<br />
Chestatee next will travel to Johnson on Friday.
