Memorial service Sat. for Lula councilwoman

LULA - A memorial service will be held Saturday for Vicky Chambers, the Lula City Councilwoman, who died last week after being critically injured in a traffic accident two weeks earlier.<br /> <br /> Chambers had been in ICU at Northeast Georgia Medical Center since the time of the crash.<br /> <br /> A celebration of life is planned Saturday at 11:00 at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church in Lula. <br /> <br /> Chambers operated Around the Corner Florist in Lula and served on the town's Downtown Development Authority as well as Lula's Mayor Pro Tem. <br /> <br /> The two-car accident that fatally injured Chambers occurred January 10 when another vehicle, driven by a suspected drunk driver, struck hers head-on.
