Boys basketball: Lumpkin holds off West Hall in 7-AAA

OAKWOOD -- Four players scored in double figures to lead Lumpkin County to a 70-62 win over West Hall Friday night in Region 7-AAA action.<br />

Matt Satterfield had 20 points, Cal Thrailkill 13 points, Zach Pulley 12 points, and Jack Howard 10 points for the Indians (7-15, 4-5 Region 7-AAA) who snapped a two-game losing streak.<br />
<br />
West Hall (3-16, 2-7) lost its fourth straight game.<br />
<br />
It was a tight game throughout. The Indians led 15-13 after the first quarter and took a 36-32 lead into halftime. They pushed their lead to 51-43 heading into the fourth quarter. The Spartans were not able to grab the lead in the final period.<br />
<br />
Hakeem Bennett led the Spartans with 17 points. Esteban Olloh added 15 points, and Dylan Barron 12 points for West Hall.<br />
<br />
Lumpkin County next will play host to East Hall on Tuesday in another Region 7-AAA contest. West Hall will play host to arch-rival Johnson in a non-region game on Saturday.
