Each year faculty and staff at the school nominate instructors who exemplify excellence in teaching. The nominees participate in a series of interviews which help determine the winner.
Segers will represent NGTC at the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Education competition in the spring.
Segers, a resident of Clarkesville, joined the family of North Georgia Technical College in 2010. She serves as Instructor and Program Coordinator for the Criminal Justice program.
