New senior living community planned in Cumming

CUMMING - Legacy Senior Services, LLC, plans to break ground this year on a 63-unit senior living community in Cumming to be called Legacy Village at Vickery Creek.<br /> <br /> The 50,000 square-foot facility will have an equestrian look, keeping with the theme and character of the surrounding community, and will be located on Post Road near the Vickery Creek Elementary School.<br /> <br /> It will include 31 studio and one-bedroom assisted living suites and another 32 units dedicated to The Harbor, an innovative, nationally recognized memory care unit that will serve those with Alzheimer's or other memory care disorders.<br /> <br /> Amenities that will be offered include a library, a beauty/barber shop, large activity areas and meeting rooms, a chapel for religious services and Bible study, and an outdoor kitchen.<br />
