Quinlan hosting Q&A with Latin group 'Contrapuntpo'

GAINESVILLE - The Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville will host a question-and-answer session later this month with the Latin group "Contrapuntpo' or "Counterpoint."<br /> <br /> "CONTRAPUNTO" consists of Visual Artists living and working in Atlanta and the surrounding areas for the past four years. The group was started by Venezuelan Surrealist Painter Carlos Solis (www.carlosaugustossolis.blogspot.com). Current members are Peruvian Surrealist Abstraction Painter Pedro Fuertes (www.pedrofuertesb.com), Peruvian Figurative Abstraction Painter Dora Lopez (www.doralopez.com), Abstract Mexican Painter Jorge Arcos(www.jorgearcosart.com), Venezuelan Tropical Pop Artist Stanley Bermudez (www.stanleybermudez.com) .<br /> <br /> One of the main missions of the group is to expose people in Georgia to the diversity and talent of Latin Artists. <br /> <br /> The Quinlan will host the group January 24 from 1:00-3:00.
