Boys basketball: Banks falls to Elbert on road

ELBERTON -- Elbert County outscored Banks County in the first three quarters en route to a 66-57 win Saturday in non-region action.<br />

The Blue Devils led 18-13 after the first quarter and took a 33-24 lead into halftime. They used an 18-8 third quarter to blow the game open.<br />
<br />
Banks County (14-3) outscored Elbert County 25-15 in the fourth quarter to make the game closer.<br />
<br />
The Leopards are just 2-2 since opening the season 12-1.<br />
<br />
Zez Steeple paced Banks County with 22 points and four assists. Zac Orr had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Leopards.
