Girls basketball: No. 1 Lady Tigers stay unbeaten

DAWSONVILLE -- The Class AAA No. 1 Dawson County girls used a 23-8 first quarter en route to an 83-43 victory over Fannin County Friday night at home.<br /> <br /> The Lady Tigers (19-0, 6-0 Region 7-AAA) were paced by Ashley Parker with 18 points. Sheyenne Seabolt had 17 points, Haley Burgess added 13 points, and Karlie Bearden 11 points. Bearden also reached a milestone with her 500th rebound.<br /> <br /> Dawson County took a 41-22 lead into halftime and then outscored Fannin County (6-8, 1-4) 28-11 to put the game away. It was the fourth straight loss for the Lady Rebels.<br /> <br /> Dawson County next will travel to West Hall on Tuesday.<br /> <br /> Fannin County will play host to rival Pickens on Saturday in a non-region game.
