Poetry reading, concert planned next week at Piedmont

DEMOREST - A poetry reading and concert, separate events on different days, are planned next week at Piedmont College.<br /> <br /> Tuesday Susan Deborah King, artist-in-residence at the Piedmont College Lillian E. Smith Center in Clayton, will be reading from her work at 4:00 in Jenkins Lobby on the first floor of Daniel Hall on the Demorest campus.<br /> <br /> King is the author of several collections of poems, including "Dropping into the Flower" and "Coven." <br /> <br /> The concert is Thursday at 7:30 in the Chapel on the Demorest campus and will feature the Revien Trio, a contemporary chamber ensemble. <br /> <br /> For members Phil Snyder and Kyle Dawkins, the free concert will be a homecoming of sorts as both have taught music at Piedmont.<br /> <br /> For more information about both events, click on the link below.
