Arrest made in Buford New Year's Day murder case

LAWRENCEVILLE - The primary suspect in a Gwinnett County murder case turned himself in to authorities Saturday afternoon.<br /> <br /> According to a press release issued by Sgt. Brian Doan with the Gwinnett County Police Department, Quindarius Keshun Morton turned himself in without incident at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. This came just one day after the department's Homicide Unit obtained warrants for Morton's arrest in the New Year's Day shooting death of 22-year-old Buford resident Reginald Bien-Amie.<br /> <br /> Bien-Amie's body was discovered by police on Thursday evening in the front seat of a car outside of The Reserve at Ivy Creek Apartments in Buford following a 911 call that reported hearing several shots fired in the area. No motive has been released in the killing.<br /> <br /> Doan said Morton now faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault in the case.<br />
