Girls basketball: North Forsyth routs Johns Creek, stays unbeaten in 6-AAAAAA

COAL MOUNTAIN -- Caroline Bowns poured in 27 points to go with four rebounds, two steals, and two assists to lead the North Forsyth girls to a 62-33 win over Johns Creek Saturday in Region 6-AAAAAA action.<br />

With the win the Lady Raiders (13-1, 7-0 Region 6-AAAAAA) stayed tied with South Forsyth atop the region standings.<br />
<br />
North Forsyth jumped out to a 16-5 lead after the first quarter and then used a 20-9 second quarter run to blow the game open and take a 36-15 lead into halftime.<br />
<br />
Amber Jones had 11 points for North Forsyth. Lochlain Corliss added eight points for the Lady Raiders.<br />
<br />
North Forsyth next will travel to South Forsyth (12-2, 7-0) on Tuesday in a battle for first place in the region.
