Boys basketball: Lakeview gets win in Ga-NC Challenge

GAINESVILLE -- Tray Gober poured in 22 points and Tae Turner added 18 to lead the Lakeview Academy boys to a 72-47 win over Franklin (N.C.) Saturday in the Georgia-North Challenge at the Lakeview gym.<br /> <br /> Lakeview Academy (7-2) opened strong holding the Panthers to just five points in the first quarter and then taking a 28-21 into halftime. The Lions used a a 17-10 third quarter to blow the game open. They scored 27 points in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach.<br /> <br /> Franklin was led Silas Raby and Devin Doty with eight points apiece.<br /> <br /> The Lions will take on undefeated Athens Christian on Tuesday at home in a key Region 8-A contest.
