Girls basketball: Lady Falcons rout Forsyth Central

CUMMING -- The Flowery Branch girls rebounded from their tough Lanierland finals loss with a 70-34 rout of Forsyth Central Saturday.<br />

Breanna Locke led four double-digit scorers with 19 points for the Lady Falcons (12-2). Kierra Knight added 13 points, and Maddie Hetzel and Taniyah Worth had 10 points each for Flowery Branch.<br />
<br />
Flowery Branch held just a 15-8 lead after the first quarter but outscored the Lady Bulldogs (5-10) 26-10 in the second quarter for a 41-18 halftime lead. The Lady Falcons continued the rout with a 23-7 third quarter for a 64-25 lead.<br />
<br />
The Lady Falcons next will play host to Apalachee on Tuesday in a Region 8-AAAAA contest.
