Suwanee fatal involved two vehicles

SUWANEE - A Georgia State Patrol spokeswoman said there were two vehicles involved in a traffic accident Tuesday morning that killed a motorcycle rider in Suwanee.<br />

Troopers got the initial call around 8:45 a.m. to the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and Martin Farm Road, according to GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson.<br />
<br />
Authorities believe the driver of a Nissan Altima was attempting to turn left onto Satellite Boulevard from the eastbound side of Martin Farm Road.<br />
<br />
According to the patrol, the car hit the motorcycle which was southbound on Satellite Boulevard. The motorcycle rider, 41-year-old Christopher Bettis of Suwanee, died at the scene, according to Watson. No other people were injured.<br />
<br />
The patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team will handle the follow up investigation. Charges are pending, according to investigators.<br />
<br />
Troopers have not released the name of the Nissan driver.
