Region 8-AAAA now knows who will get a chance to play for the region title and playoff spots in the upcoming state tournament.<br />

The top six teams in the standings will play for the title.<br />
<br />
Class AAAA No. 1 Buford will be the top seed followed by Madison County, the No. 2 seed, and North Oconee, the No. 3 seed.<br />
<br />
White County, North Hall, and Stephens County all finished with 4-4 records and will get the other three seeds into the tournament.<br />
<br />
White County is the fourth seed by virtue of beating North Hall and Stephens County in the regular season. North Hall is the fifth seed after beating Stephens County in the regular season, and Stephens County will be the sixth seed.<br />
<br />
The tournament will begin on Tuesday.<br />
<br />
Buford and Madison County each receive receive first round byes. The second round is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Oct. 4. Game 3s of those series, if necessary, would be Monday, Oct. 6.<br />
<br />
The Region 8-AAAA championship game will be held on Thursday, October 9th between the winners of the second round series with the higher-seeded playing host.
