Union County rolls to 5-0 with 52-19 win

BLAIRSVILLE -- Union County kept its domineering start to the season going on Friday courtesy a 52-19 defeat of Social Circle in Blairsville.<br />

Seven different Panthers scored touchdowns in the win, while Knox Kiernan also kicked a field goal in the rout.<br />
<br />
"We've done what we needed to do put ourselves in position, but we can still get better," Union County coach Brian Allison said. "We're building some momentum and the kids are playing with confidence and believing they can win."<br />

Bo Lynch scored two rushing touchdowns in the win, while Chase Barnett, Joseph Mancuso and Robert Prunier also added rushing scores. Sam Gilbert and Jacob Rogers also caught touchdowns for the Panthers (5-0, 1-0 Region 8-AA), who rolled up over 400 yards of offense.<br />

Union County will travel to play Oglethorpe County next week.
