Four area teams remained in the latest Georgia Sports Writers Association Prep Football Poll, released on Tuesday.<br />

Of the four -- Buford, Jefferson, Lanier and North Gwinnett -- only the Bulldogs moved in the latest rankings, creeping up one spot to sixth in Class AAAAAA. North Gwinnett (3-1, 1-0 Region 7-AAAAAA) will take on Mill Creek (2-2, 1-0) in a huge region showdown on Friday in a game broadcast live on WDUN AM 550.<br />

Meanwhile, Lanier held at No. 10 in Class AAAAA. The Longhorns (4-0, 3-0 Region 8-AAAAA) travel to face Loganville (2-1, 1-1) on Friday.<br />
<br />
In Class AAAA, Buford maintained its spot atop the rankings. The Wolves (4-0, 1-0 Region 8-AAAA) will sit through a bye this week before traveling to Chestatee on Oct. 3.<br />
<br />
And, in Class AAA, Jefferson will begin Region 8-AAA play this week as the No. 4 team in the poll. The Dragons (4-0) will travel to take on Jackson County (1-3) on Friday.<br />
<br />
Commerce (3-1, 2-0 Region 8-A) also received a vote in Class A. The Tigers are also sitting at the No. 2 spot in the Class A public GHSA power ratings index poll. Commerce will travel to face Athens Christian this week.<br />
