WINDER -- CeCe Green ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns to lead a surging Winder-Barrow team to a stunning 46-7 win over previously-unbeaten Loganville Friday night in Region 8-AAAAA action.

For the Bulldoggs (2-2, 2-1 Region 8-AAAAA) it was the first win over the Red Devils (2-1, 1-1) since 2003 and the first win ever over them at home.

The Bulldoggs offense broke out in a big way after scoring just 13 total points over their last two games. And it came against a Loganville defense that had allowed just 18 points all season.

Loganville scored first for a quick 7-0 in the first quarter but it was all Winder-Barrow after that. Green scored on a 2-yard run and then Ryan Evans connected with Bradyn Randall on a two-point conversion for an 8-7 lead.

In the second quarter Alan Leighton booted a 36-yard field goal and quarterback Noah Chapman tossed a pair of TD passes, 10-yards to Evans and 18-yards to Randall, to give the Bulldoggs a 25-7 halftime lead.

In the third quarter Green scored on runs of 3- and 4-yards and Javonne Hughes finished the scoring with a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter for the final margin.

The Winder-Barrow defense, which had been torched the past weeks, forced four turnovers and did not allow a point over the final 45 minutes of the game.
