Meanwhile, West Hall earned its first vote in the Class AAA poll.<br />

The Dragons (4-0) climbed to fourth in Class AAA after defeating Commerce 28-3 on Friday. Jefferson now has a week off before beginning Region 8-AAA play on Sept. 26 against cross-town rival Jackson County.<br />

Lanier (3-0, 2-0 Region 8-AAAAA) moved into the Class AAAAA rankings at 10th after defeating Flowery Branch 27-12 last week. The Longhorns will play host to Cedar Shoals (0-2, 0-1) on Friday. Buford (3-0) took a bye last week after defeating McEachern 27-20 on Sept. 5 and held at No. 1 in Class AAAA. The Wolves will play host to White County (2-1) on Friday.<br />

In Class AAAAAA, North Gwinnett also held at No. 7 after a bye week. The Bulldogs (2-1) will begin Region 7-AAAAAA play this week when they take on Collins Hill.<br />
