Softball: North Hall splits in weekend tourney

MADISON -- The North Hall girls softball team went 2-2 over the weekend in the Lady Dog Invitational Tournament at Morgan County High School.<br /> <br /> The Lady Trojans beat Duluth 7-6 and Jackson 9-0 but lost to Archer 8-6 and to Social Circle 9-6. <br /> <br /> Ashlyn Brewster and Kaitlin Edwards lead the Lady Trojans offensively, both going 7-for-14 on the day. Brewster also lead the team in RBI with five for the tournament.<br /> <br /> Harper Seymour was 6-for-14 with 2 RBI. <br /> <br /> Hannah Meeler was 2 for 6 at the plate with 1 RBI.<br /> <br /> Kailee Dyer and Ashley Goines each had four hits and Carson Negley had three hits for North Hall. Michaela Young and Carson McCormack each added three RBI for the Lady Trojans.<br /> <br /> Hannah Meeler received the win on the mound against Jackson and Kaitlin Edwards got the win against Duluth.
