Wildcats take wild win over Jackson County

TIGER -- Rabun County took a strange 34-21 victory over Jackson County Friday night at Frank Snyder Stadium.<br /> <br /> All the points were scored in a frenetic first half that saw three lead changes. The second half went scoreless despite both offenses running up and down the field.<br /> <br /> The Wildcats (2-2) jumped out to a quick 13-0 lead in the first quarter with Charlie Woerner catching a 10-yard TD pass from Collin Grant less than two minutes into the game. They extended their lead to 13-0 on a touchdown pass from Bailey Fisher to Jack Johnson.<br /> <br /> The Panthers answered right back when Tyreke Shelton returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. Jackson County took a 14-13 lead moments into the second quarter when Zak Evans returned a an interception 58 yards to the Rabun 7.<br /> <br /> Malik Tuck scored on the next play to give the Panthers the lead.<br /> <br /> The Wildcats regained the lead for good just over two minutes later, however, when Woerner scored on a 30-yard run for a 19-14 lead. Woerner set up the next score causing a fumble on the kickoff and then capping the short drive with an 8-yard TD run to make it 27-14.<br /> <br /> Rabun County pushed its lead to 34-14 on a 2-yard scoring run by Fisher and Jackson County closed out the half on Tuck's second TD run of the half.<br /> <br /> Woerner finished with 130 yards rushing to lead Rabun County. Grant finished with 118 yards on 11-of-15 passing.<br /> <br /> Tuck led Jackson County (0-3) with 70 yards rushing.
