The first huge region showdown takes place tonight, while one of the state's oldest rivalries resumes in a huge night of games in Week 3 of the high school football season.

FRIDAY GAME NIGHT has all the information you need for the full slate of games set for tonight in stadiums throughout northeast Georgia.

The winner of the Flowery Branch-Lanier tilt will have more than just bragging rights in Region 8-AAAAA, and that game is our featured video preview on Friday Game Night.

Meanwhile, bragging rights between Jefferson and Commerce means plenty in a game that has been played every season since 1951. There are also big games at West Hall, as the Spartans look to go 3-0 against North Hall team hoping to bounce back from an 0-1 start, and at Gainesville, as the Red Elephants look to stomp back after a loss in their season opener two weeks ago -- Winder-Barrow could have something to say about that, however. And that's just scratching the surface of an 18-game slate.

We will also keep you up-to-date on all of Friday night's scores, both on Access North Georgia, and on our twitter handle: @FridayGameNight.

Be sure to check back with us throughout the night and into Saturday morning for all the info on week 3.
