Safe Kids plans bike helmet giveaway

GAINESVILLE - Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County in partnership with the Hall County Sheriff's Office and Kohl's Cares Foundation in Flowery Branch will host <br />
a bike helmet giveaway next week.<br />

The helmets will be for children ages 5-10 (while supplies last, <br />
first come-first served) and the event will be held Wednesday, August 13 from 4:00-6:00 at Hall County Sheriff's Department North Precinct in Clermont. Children must be present to receive a bike helmet to ensure proper fit. <br />

Safe Kids will also be collecting expired, unused, and unwanted, medications <br />
at the event. Anyone dropping off medications will receive a free <br />
medication lock box (while supplies last, one per household). <br />
<br />
Acceptable items are expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs and <br />
over-the-counter solid medications. Intravenous solutions and hypodermic <br />
needles will not be accepted. All medications will be disposed of by law enforcement officers.
