CLEVELAND - Caring Hands Ministries will hold its annual Back to School Clothes Day Thursday July 31 from 4:00-7:00 at the Roy Ash Building behind United Community Bank in Cleveland.

Any parent or grandparent can come and get gently used hand me downs and some new clothes for their children. The ministry hopes to have some new shoes and some school supplies available, too.

"Every year Americans Helping Americans has blessed us with new backpacks of school supplies and new shoes. They told us they hope these will be here in time for Clothes Day this year," Caring Hands Ministries President Charles Fleming said.

Donations of used clothes and new school supplies can be left at the ministry office 6483A Cleveland Hwy (Hwy 129) in Clermont next to Papa's Pizza or you can call 706-219-1980 to arrange other drop off places or pick up.

"We are hoping 1 or 2 businesses in each county we serve will volunteer to be drop off places and our volunteers can pick things up from there," Fleming said.

Volunteers are also needed to sort clothes and set up the night before Clothes Day and early that afternoon, to help at the event itself and to help straighten up afterwards. United Community Bank is making the building available free of charge.
