Top fast-pitch softball teams in tournament in Cumming, Gainesville

The 2014 Triple Crown USA Nationals is taking place this week in Cumming, Alpharetta and Gainesville.<br /> <br /> More than 180 of the top 14U, 16U and 18U clubs in the country are in this year's tournament field. <br /> <br /> "The TC/USA Nationals brings together elite softball clubs from across the country to compete for a national championship," said TC/USA Nationals Director Krista Judge. "Each year the event is played in a different region of the U.S. This year we are excited to be playing the event in Cumming-Forsyth County, Alpharetta, and Gainesville..."<br /> <br /> "Our community has had a positive relationship with the Triple Crown organization for many years," said James McCoy, President and CEO Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce. "We were pleased to further that relationship with the addition of the Triple Crown USA Nationals, <br /> televised by CBS Sports Network." <br /> <br /> A record 27 states will be represented in this year's tournament.<br /> <br /> Lanier Point in Gainesville is hosting the 14U competition.
