Braves' Heyward hit on hand by pitch, leaves game

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward left Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Angels with a bruised right hand after being hit by a pitch from C.J. Wilson.<br />

The Braves said X-rays were negative and Heyward's status is day to day.<br />
<br />
Heyward was hit on the top of his hand leading off the first inning. He scored on a three-run homer by Evan Gattis, but Jordan Schafer pinch hit for him in the second inning.<br />
<br />
Heyward is hitting .254 with seven homers, 23 RBIs and nine stolen bases. He has reached base in 29 of 32 games since May 9.
