Bid OK'd for Oakwood road project

OAKWOOD - The Oakwood City Council has approved a bid for work on realigning M. Stringer Road.<br /> <br /> City Manager Stan Brown confirmed Tuesday morning that the lowest bid was from Patillo Construction Co. and totaled just over $767,500.<br /> <br /> A contract for the work will not be awarded, however, until the city finishes getting the necessary right-of-way as well as a grant that would pay part of the cost.
