Surprising Owls one win from Super Regional

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA -- Max Pentecost had four hits, including a two-run double in an eight-run 11th inning that lifted Kennesaw State to a 13-5 win over Georgia Southern in a weather-delayed winners' bracket NCAA regional tournament game Saturday night.<br />

The Owls (39-21) banged out 20 hits on the way to their 25th win in their last 26 games.<br />
<br />
Georgia Southern (40-22) meets Alabama on Sunday in an elimination game, with that winner advancing against Kennesaw State on Sunday night. Regional host Florida State, the No. 5 national seed, was ousted by Alabama 6-5 in Saturday's first game.<br />

Justin McAlvin (5-3) retired nine straight and got the win, while Eric Alonzo (3-4) took the loss.<br />
