GAINESVILLE - Absentee ballots will be available by mail for the July 22 primary runoffs Hall County beginning June 7.

County Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee says a written request is required for all ballots but you do not have to give a reason for applying for an absentee ballot. Applications will be available in the elections office or on the county website.

Sosebee added that Advance Voting will begin June 30 and continue through July 18 at the elections office in the Hall County Government Center on Browns Bridge Road from 8:00-5:00 each day, Monday-Friday.

Sosebee says sample ballots will be available by mail, in the elections office and on the county website. Sample ballots and voter information are also available on the Georgia Secretary of State's website.

In order to be eligible to vote in the runoffs, you must have been a registered voter as of April 21, 2014; if you voted Democratic in the May 20 primary, you can vote in the Democratic runoff only; if you voted in the Republican primary, you can only vote in the Republican runoff; if you voted non-partisan on May 20, you can vote either Democratic or Republican July 22; and, if you did not vote May 20, you can vote in either the Democratic or Republican runoff.

Sample ballots will be available by mail, in the elections office or online.
