NASHVILLE, TN - This one was a long time coming. Josh Weston had scored four straight second place finishes in the Hunter Sand and Gravel Pro Late Model division at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, TN dating back to October of last season. However, Saturday was finally the day for the Mount Juliet native as he picked up his first career Pro Late Model victory in the Big Machine Challenge Series.
Weston had to earn the win, coming from a 13th place starting spot. Josh methodically worked his way through the field, catching cautions just at the right time. He was able to get the lead away from Mark Day midway through the race after contact was made between the two. Weston held the lead until Willie Allen closed on him and got the lead for the first time of the night.
A caution for a wreck between Chase Chaffin and Chase Oliver would prove to be a game changer. After a lengthy delay to clean the track, Allen was forced to pull off the track. Complaining of the same problem that knocked him out of the Southern Super Series event on April 5
