SENOIA - Drivers that returned to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA for the first time this season stole the show this past Saturday night. Stockbridge, GA's Trey White turned a front row starting spot into a Late Model victory.

Meanwhile, Blake Griffin claimed a feature victory in the B Cadet feature and LaGrange's Jake Traylor won in Hobby Stocks. All three competitors were making their first appearance of the season at the 3/8ths mile clay bullring.

White surprised the packed house by claiming the pole position during the Jodeco Auto Sales Late Model qualifying. But quickly showed his speed was not a flash in the pan during the 20-lap feature. White pulled away from LaGrange's Tod Darda to win. Grantville's Austin Horton, a rookie in the Jodeco Auto Sales Late Model this season, finished a strong third ahead of defending champion Glenn Morris of Fayetteville and veteran racer Marcus Caswell of Newnan.

Griffin dominated the Newnan Bonding B Cadet race, winning the feature by a half lap over Hampton's Paul 'Cowboy' Holloway. LaGrange's David Osbahr ended up third after a good battle with Holloway through the middle stages of the race.

Sixteen-year-old Jake Traylor did not have it as easy in the Summit Racing Equipment Hobby Stock main event. The LaGrange high schooler was caught up in a pair of cautions that sent him to the back of the pack. But, each time he would fight his way back towards the front.

On the final lap, Traylor worked under Covington's Sam Carter to snare the lead. He would control the final circuit to win his first Senoia Raceway feature ahead of Carter and Williamson's Houston Hatchett. LaGarnge's Bryson Ussery and Forsyth's 'Wild' Bill Brown rounded out the first five.

The A1 Hydraulics Bomber division featured one of the best contested races of the night with Griffin's John Holcomb coming out on top. Holcomb held of a number of strong charges from Senoia's Winford Minnix and Dustin Smith. He would pull away in the final two laps after Smith tapped Minix coming out of turn four nearly causing a spin. Minix held on as Smith let off the gas, but the incident allowed Holcomb a bit of clean air. Minix would end up second ahead of Smith. Alvaton's Jay Conner was fourth ahead of Griffin's rookie contender Alex Rudolph in fifth.

Newnan's Brandon Bright won his 17th career feature in the Senoia Drug Company Mini Stock division. Bright bested his Murphy's Mafia teammate Bobby Arnold for the laurels. Sixteen-year-old Brandon Libri made it a top three clean sweep for Newnan drivers.

Bright's father, Dorough Bright, completed a successful night for their team as he claimed his first win of the season in the Modified Mini feature. The class only had three entries and is struggling to make a show this season.

The stock car racing action returns this Saturday, May 3 with all six weekly divisions competing for points and prize money. The Legends Cars will also join the show.
