Baseball: Spartans rout Banks Co. in key 7-AAA win

OAKWOOD -- Will Simmons allowed just one hit and struck out 12 to lead West hall to an 11-1 win over Banks County in five innings Wednesday.

Lincoln Stubbs helped pace the offense with three hits and two RBI for the Spartans (15-7, 11-6 Region 7-AAA). Cameron Johnson had two hits and two RBI and Cam Warner added two hits and one RBI for West Hall. Zach English also had two hits for the Spartans.

West Hall next will play host to east Hall on Friday in another key 7-AAA battle.
