Baseball: Spartans keep pace in 7-AAA, rout Fannin

BLUE RIDGE -- Cam Warner had five hits and Zack Collins belted a home run to go with six RBI to lead West Hall to a 19-2 drubbing of Fannin County in five innings Wednesday in Region 7-AAA action.

Cameron Johnson added three hits and two RBI for the Spartans (11-5, 7-4 Region 7-AAA) who snapped a two-game losing streak.

West Hall came into the game one game ahead of Dawson County for fourth place in the region standings. The Spartans swept the Tigers earlier in the season to hold the tiebreaker.

Zach English (5-0) went the distance for West Hall allowing three hits and striking out nine in five innings.

the two teams will play again on Friday in Oakwood.
