OAKWOOD -- Evelin Aviata recorded a hat trick and the Johnson girls blew open a close game at halftime with five second half goals to take a 6-0 victory over Rabun County Tuesday night.

Aviata, on an assist by Sofy Munoz, scored less than six minutes into the game but the Lady Knights (7-5-1) could not find the net again in the first half despite numerous chances.

They blew things open with three goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half. Logan Dumanowsky scored on a 30-yard free kick six minutes in and then Aviata struck again three minutes later on an assist by Hannah Mullinax. Sandra Macedo, on Munoz's second assist off an indirect free kick, made it 4-0.

Aviata finished a rainbow shot from Stephanie Aviles and Munoz added a goal with three minutes left for the final score.

Johnson will play host to Eastside on Thursday.
