Baseball: East Hall gets first 7-AAA win

BLUE RIDGE -- Caleb Holtzclaw pitched six innings allowing one hit while striking out five to lead East Hall to a 6-0 win over Fannin County Friday night.

It was the first Region 7-AAA win for the Vikings (3-4, 1-2 Region 7-AAA) who played error-free behind Holtzclaw on defense.

Jack Hagwood closed out the game throwing a scoreless seventh inning.

Hunter Buffington paced the East Hall offense with two hits, including a home run, and two RBI. Six other Vikings tallied at least one hit.

The Vikings will play host to Fannin County on Monday. East Hall will dedicate its concession stand to the late Twylita Gee on Monday.
