Soccer: Lady Knights notch first win

OAKWOOD -- Evelin Aviata scored two goals and the Johnson girls soccer team got its first win of the season Tuesday night at home.

Aviata goals came in the first half. The first was with 13:12 remaining off a corner from Chandler Steele and the second with 5:02 left on a breakaway against the keeper.

Hannah Hester scored the final goal on a second assist Steele at the 30:33 left in the game.

The Lady Knights (1-5-1, 1-1 Region 8-AAAA) next travel to Walnut Grove on Friday.
