At least one storm-related death in Ga.

ATLANTA (AP) -- Gov. Nathan Deal said late Wednesday afternoon at least one person has died from weather-related causes during a storm that dumped ice, snow and freezing rain on northern and central Georgia.

Deal said that a Butts County man died after he fell on ice.

Glen Goens, director of the Butts County Office of Homeland Security, said the 50-year-old man left his home to go to a neighbor's house at 9 p.m. Tuesday but never made it there. A family member found him dead on the front porch of his own home at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Goens says it appears that the man fell on the ice and hurt himself and then tried to get back to his house.
