Isn't it interesting how bad situations sometimes bring out the best in people? For instance, five local ladies were in the Atlanta area for a garden club meeting: Pam Kuchler, Caroline Silcox, Kathy Haynes, Jan Smith , and Jean Sawyer. They left their meeting early, hoping to get out before the snowstorm of the century rolled in, but got trapped and spent the night in a convenience store near Ball Ground. That was Tuesday. Wednesday morning the roads there seemed passable, so they headed for Gainesville on Highway 20.
