Girls basketball: Lady Tigers advance to Pickens Holiday finals

JASPER -- The Dawson County girls basketball advanced to the finals of the Pickens Holiday Classic after an 81-54 win over Riverwood Monday.<br />

The Lady Tigers (14-0) next will play Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for the title.<br />
<br />
The game was close in the first quarter with Dawson County leading just 21-17. The Lady Tigers outscored Riverwood 51-23 in the second and third quarters to blow the game open.<br />
<br />
Sheyenne Seabolt and Haley Burgess each scored 16 points to lead Dawson County. Burgess drained five 3-pointers. Ashley Parker added 13 points, Karlie Bearden had 12, and Ansley Costley nine for the Lady Tigers.
