No. 15 Georgia survives test from Furman 58-51

ATHENS -- Shacobia Barbee scored a career-high 25 points to go with 12 rebounds and five steals as No. 15 Georgia scored the last seven to close out Furman 58-51 on Saturday.<br />

Krista Donald's layup with 4:34 gave the Bulldogs (11-0) the lead for good and Barbee's 3-pointer from the right wing made it 56-51 with 1:53 to play.<br />
<br />
Marjorie Butler made a pair of free throws to cap the scoring with 29 seconds left.<br />
<br />
Allison Beasley's 3-pointer gave Furman (9-4) its last lead at 46-45. Georgia scored six straight and Furman answered with a 5-0 run to tie it at 51.<br />
<br />
Merritt Hempe chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who had 27 offensive rebounds and edged the Paladins on the glass 45-34 overall.<br />
<br />
Sarah Durdaller led Furman with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
