GMRC annual awards

DILLARD - The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission recently handed out its annual awards at it's Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner which was held at the Dillard House in Rabun County:<br /> <br /> *Congressman Doug Collins of Gainesville, Chairman's Award. <br /> <br /> *Dawson County's Economic Development Executive Director Charlie Auvermann, Appointed Official of the Year. <br /> <br /> *Stephens County Commission Chairman Dean Scarborough, Elected Official of the Year. <br /> <br /> *Bill Chafin of Hart County, GMRC Council Member of the Year. The recipient of this award is selected by the 44 members of the GMRC Council. <br /> <br /> *Wanda Payne, Case Worker for the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Workforce Development Department, GMRC Employee of the Year. <br />
