Man sentenced for sending firearms parts from Ga. to Russia

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a Russian man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for illegally exporting firearms parts to Russia. <br /> <br /> Authorities said a release Thursday that 33-year-old Viacheslav Zhukov has been sentenced to 51 months in federal prison for illegally sending firearms parts from Savannah to Russia. <br /> <br /> Prosecutors say Zhukov mailed several packages containing firearm magnifier scopes to Russia without obtaining an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Investigators have said Zhukov misrepresented the contents of the package on customs declaration forms. <br /> <br /> Zhukov had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
