Boys basketball: White County dunks Kings Ridge in JHS tourney

OAKWOOD -- The White County boys basketball team got its first win of the season with a 75-62 win over Kings Ridge Tuesday night in the Johnson Tip-off tournament.<br /> <br /> The Warriors (1-1) led from start to finish. They opened with a 22-17 first quarter lead and pushed their lead to 42-34 by halftime. White County opened up a 58-45 lead heading into the fourth quarter.<br /> <br /> Whit Mauney paced the Warriors with 21 points. Crawford Abernathy added 11 points, Sean Kennedy nine, and Juwan Dorsey and Will Gearing had eight points each for White County.<br /> <br /> Kings Ridge was led by Jack Armstrong with 26 points and Jake Hiser with 16.
