Obesity Solutions welcomes a new bariatric surgeon

GAINESVILLE - Obesity Solutions at The Longstreet Clinic, P.C., is pleased to welcome bariatric surgeon Miguel B. del Mazo, M.D., M.S., FACS, to the practice.<br /> <br /> Dr. del Mazo completed his bachelor's degree in biology at Johns Hopkins University. The Atlanta native returned home to earn a master's degree in Applied Biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He then earned his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine.<br /> <br /> Dr. del Mazo completed his General Surgery residency and served as Chief Resident at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he also completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. He is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons.<br /> <br /> Dr. del Mazo performs minimally invasive bariatric surgery at Gwinnett Medical Center and Northeast Georgia Medical Center.<br /> <br /> Before joining Robert L. Richard, M.D., FACS, and Peter L. Henderson Jr., M.D., FACS, at Obesity Solutions, Dr. del Mazo had a successful bariatric surgery practice in Atlanta.<br /> <br />
