FOLEY, Ala. -- The Gainesville boys basketball team opened the campaign with a strong showing on Monday, bursting past Daphne (Ala.) 76-52 in the Battle of the Border.<br /> <br /> Bailey Minor scored 14 points to pace the Red Elephants (1-0), while Sam Carpenter added 12 and D'Marcus Simonds 11 in the win.
