HAMILTON -- Who wants to try and stop the Gainesville offense now?

The Red Elephants showed that they have indeed hit another gear on Friday, scorching Harris County for 546 yards en route to a 49-40 win that sent Gainesville back into the state quarterfinals for the fourth straight season.

The Red Elephants (10-2) will travel to play Allatoona next Friday in the third round. The Buccaneers will certainly be girding their defense -- just ask Harris County.

It was the second time in three years the Red Elephants torched the Tigers in the postseason -- the last came in 2012 en route to a state title, and Gainesville's offense certainly looked championship caliber on Friday -- especially through the air.

Quarterback Mikey Gonzalez toasted Harris County for 355 yards on 25 of 32 passing for five touchdowns -- three to Chris Williamson, who finished with eight catches for 196 yards. Williamson also caught a fourth scoring strike from Messiah Dorsey on a 61-yard option pass to make it 35-20 at the start of the third quarter. Dorsey also caught seven passes for 101 yards and a score, while Rodney Lackey finished with eight catches for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Lackey's touchdown iced the game with 4:29 left to play -- giving the Red Elephants just enough breathing room after Harris County scored three straight touchdowns over the end of the third quarter and start of the fourth to pull within 42-40.

Gainesville started out strong, pouncing on a fumbled opening kickoff to take a 7-0 lead -- only to watch Harris County answer right back through Tae Crowder, who finished the night with 183 yards rushing and two scores. Crowder also caught a touchdown pass, as Harris County put up 515 yards of its own offense. Quarterback Taquon Marshall also rushed for 152 yards and passed for 167 -- though Gainesville did pick off two of his attempts.

The two teams battled back and forth throughout the first half, with the Red Elephants managing a 28-20 halftime advantage. Gainesville finally grasped some breathing room in the third quarter, as Dorsey and Williamson hooked up and Gonzalez also hit Williamson for a 5-yard score and a 42-20 lead.

Harris roared right back, however, scoring three straight times before Gonzalez found Lackey to put the contest out of reach and send Gainesville back into very familiar territory.

SCORING SUMMARY
HARRIS CO......14....6....7...13 -- 40
GAINESVILLE....21....7...14....7 -- 49

First Quarter
GHS -- Williamson 31 pass from Gonzalez (Staton kick) 11:38, 7-0
HCHS -- Crowder 22 run (McKibben kick) 10:22, 7-7
GHS -- Byrd 1 run (Staton kick) 7:55, 14-7
HCHS -- Marshall 7 run (McKibben kick) 2:17, 14-14
GHS -- Dorsey 70 pass from Gonzalez (Staton kick) 2:06, 21-14

Second Quarter
GHS -- Williamson 60 pass from Gonzalez (Staton kick) 9:13, 28-14
HCHS -- Crowder 20 run (kick blocked) 2:46, 28-20

Third Quarter
GHS -- Williamson 61 pass from Dorsey (Staton kick) 7:38, 35-20
GHS -- Williamson 5 pass from Gonzalez (Staton kick) 4:02, 42-20
HCHS -- Crowder 26 run (McKibben kick) 1:20, 42-27

Fourth Quarter
HCHS
