ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta's zoo has received a $20 million matching gift that it will use for a planned expansion.
Zoo Atlanta says the grant from the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation will match other gifts for the project up to a commitment of $20 million.

The fundraising campaign is called "A Grand New View for Zoo Atlanta: Elephants, Events & Expansion." The zoo says the money will be used to transform the 1921 Cyclorama building and the adjacent property.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Arthur M. Blank, chairman of The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and owner of the Atlanta Falcons, are honorary chairs of the campaign.
Plans for the project include turning the building a special events venue and expanding the African savanna exhibit.
