GAINESVILLE - Plans are in the works for a monument in downtown Gainesville dedicated to the community's public safety employees.

The Rotary Clubs of Gainesville, Hall County and South Hall are partnering with a number of community volunteers to erect the monument at Roosevelt Square.

To help finance the project, bricks are being sold in honor of any public safety employee - including sheriff's deputy, police officer, firefighter, EMT, 911 operator or others - or an entire agency.

The cost is $50 for each brick. Order forms are available online at the link below and inside the main lobby of the Hall County Sheriff's Office (Law Enforcement Center - 610 Main Street in Gainesville).
